Family photos!

We had some family photos taken recently and I wanted to share them with you! They were taken by a friend of ours, Chris who is a wonderful photographer. His wife is my dear friend Heidi. Emma Kate did not show him any of her BIG grins but she did pretty well. Of course, she was the star!

Computer wiz in the making?????

Emma Kate loves to reach for Calvin's computer keyboad when she is in his office. Calvin remembered that he had an old keyboard and got it out for Emma Kate to play with. She loves playing with the keys and cord. She will play with it for quite a while. I think it is really cute so I took some pictures (of course) and thought I would share them.

Hope everyone have a great weekend! We are headed to a little festival close by this afternoon. They will have various restaurants there with food that we can taste. We will go when Emma Kate gets up from her morning nap and eats her lunch.

Too funny!

Okay, so this morning I went in to get Emma Kate out of her crib. She had been awake for a little while already. When I went in to get her, she was sitting up waiting on me. I had to laugh when I saw her. She was not happy with me when I had to dash out of the room to get my camera. Instead of explaining it I will let the pictures do the talking.

So when I went in to get Emma up this morning, I thought she had just managed to get one of her arms out of her jammies. I ran to get my camera and when I came back to take a picture I noticed that her pants were off too. I was relieved to see that her diaper was still on. I certainly hope she does not figure out how to take that off! I have no idea when during the night or morning that she did this....I am hoping that it was in the morning and that she did not go all night like this.I  hope everyone has a good giggle with these pictures. Calvin and I both got a good laugh out of this  My mom thinks she might have a mischievous side to her and I think she might be right! Have a great day!

Emma Kate has been a busy girl!

Well, we have had quite the weekend! Emma Kate has done lots of things for the first time. She is not always willing to do them again for us. She thinks we are silly when we get so excited. Okay, so here they are.....
1. pulling to a stand- this is really hard for her but she is able to do it. It is easier if she is holding our hands but she has done it pulling up on the couch.
2. cruising the furniture- she will side step using the furniture to hold her up- she usually does this trying to get something like one of her toys or the remote control.
3. playing on her knees- she is actually doing this a lot where she is on her knees playing with a toy.
4. waving, not the high five wave but actually moving her hand back and forth. She did this a lot this evening but it was mostly at us or the tv.
5. (drum roll please) saying ma ma; now I have been trying to get her to say ma ma or da da for quite a while so she is used to me saying it. When she said it, she was repeating what I said and we were in the car getting out. Calvin was getting her out of the carseat and I was getting out of the backseat. She said very slowly and deliberatly, ma ma (with the cutest little voice) well, Calvin and I both stopped and looked at each other. She said it a few more times but that is it. She is waiting until another time to let us hear that! I do admit, it brought tears to my eyes. So very sweet!

SYLVIE!!!!

Well, I got some pictures of Sylvie this week and wanted to share them with you. I will post them below but thought I would fill you all in on how she is doing. I spoke to Stephanie today and Sylvie is doing great. She is pulling to a stand, doing some crawling, scooting on her bottom to get to things, babbling more and saying dada, and she has 8 teeth. It is really amazing how our girls are doing. They have both come so far! When Brian and Stephanie got Sylvie, she was not doing a lot of moving and interacting with her environment. Now, she is such a busy little girl and moving all over the place. She also loves to watch Elmo and Yo Gabba Gabba. I don't know what Yo Gabba Gabba is but I will have to check it out. Okay, so here are some pictures of Sylvie! These were all taken in August. My favorite is Sylvie in her red hat!!! Too cute for words!

We sure miss seeing Brian, Stephanie and Sylvie and hope that we can see them again soon! Who knows, maybe they will come to Atlanta or we will go to Louisiana.
